Lee Davis is a conceptual artist that interprets the subject of the sciences through his art in humorous but thought provoking imagery.

Can’t argue with that.

Happy birthday to Ralph Steadman, whose illustrations perfectly embodied Hunter S. Thompson’s style, and who somehow survived their partnership.

A lot of you know that I’m an artist and a bit of a science nut – since that’s what inspires most of my work. Well I’m sort of a back yard astronomer too. Last night was the so called “super moon” that was all the rage in the media. The moon happened to be at perigee (the point in its orbit closest to the Earth) at the same time it was full. So it was *slightly* bigger and brighter than it usually is from our vantage point. Great time to take some pics. I took a few photos last night through my telescope and here is a combination of two of them with some sharpening to bring out the details.
Enjoy.

Objectify & Psyentifica had a great response at ASU Gammage over the last 45 days. Came down a lot quicker than it went up. :) They’re now back home. If you missed the show you will get a second chance coming up in June and July! Details coming soon.
